Maine Weather is typically warm and humid in the summer, and cold and snowy in the winter. Coastal weather is moderated somewhat by the Atlantic Ocean, but it's still cold in the winter. Maine isn't completely immune from thunderstorms, but they get less of them than any state east of the Rockie Mountains. Hurricanes are rare, and typically weak by the time they reach Maine. Tornadoes are rare and a tornado causing damage is even rarer. |
