Located in the desert southwest at an elevation of 340 meters, Phoenix Arizona has the highest annual maximum temperature of any city in the United States. Low humidity makes these temperatures easier to take until July, when the humidity increases along with the temperatures. Conversely, winters are typically warm and mild, although cooler than winters in sub-tropical areas of the United States like Florida. So, Phoenix Weather is mostly hot, dry, and has few hazards to worry about. Tornadoes are possible but very rare. Heavy thunderstorms, which are most prevalent from July through September but can occur at any time, can bring flooding. Hail can fall, snow is extremely rare. |
